You’ve seen the trucks driving down the road – the ones all decked out in big red bows, a “Rudolph nose” and some even have strings of Christmas lights. This time of year can be especially hard on drivers and their families and many drivers will decorate their rigs in an attempt to get into the holiday spirit. We get it. Being away from home all year long, logging many hours on the road, often means missing out on special occasions like birthdays or anniversaries. This time of year in particular, with Christmas and Hanukkah and other special holidays being celebrated, more than ever the song “I’ll be home for Christmas” takes on a new meaning. Service Pro Truck Lines understands because we’re family driven. We know the importance of family and that’s why today, our blog isn’t really a blog at all – instead, it’s just an opportunity to wish you and your loved ones a very happy holiday season.
Whatever your reason for heading home for the holidays, and whatever holiday you are celebrating at this special time of year, Service Pro Truck Lines extends our best wishes for a joyous, memorable and happy holiday season surrounded by family and friends. Take a time out with your kiddos and maybe do some tobogganing followed by hot chocolate or if the kids are a little older, some outdoor skating, a game of pick up hockey or even just spending time together playing a video game or watching a treasured holiday classic is important. Families remember the time we spend with them, not so much the value of the gifts handed out on each of the 8 days of Hanukkah or found under the Christmas tree. We think truckers know this better than most. When you’re a trucker – the whole family lives the “lifestyle” and everyone knows the gift of time with a family member who is more often on the road than at home is a special gift indeed.
We hope you’re enjoying our new adventures in blogging and that occasionally, you find the information we share valuable or at the very least, thought-provoking! For today, we leave you with these thoughts: Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah and Happy New Year from our family at Service Pro Truck Lines, to yours. Drive safely this holiday season and always. Remember, we all want to be home for the holidays!
